Very affordable food and has vibes of a MA and PA restaurant. Not a lot of space to sit inside though but good amount of parking. Heard the ice cream is good but my lactose intolerant is getting out of hand. I really enjoyed what I ordered though and I'll come again

In an age of fast food chains and online delivery apps, it’s easy to overlook the value of our local mom and pop diners. But these small, family-run establishments are more than just places to grab a meal—they’re the heart and soul of our communities. One in particular mom and pop diner is Dianne's Dairy Center in Newton, NC. A mom and pop diner that has been around for decades and one that brings warmth and familiarity that no corporate chain can replicate. Eileen, the current owner and her staff all know many of their customers by name, remember their favorite orders, and create a sense of belonging that makes everyone feel at home. They support local farmers, hire local workers, and keep money circulating within the community instead of sending it off to corporate headquarters in another state. I had my first visit at this diner today and I have never felt so welcomed into a restaurant like I did today along with a most warm meal. So darn friendly! These diners serve as gathering spots—places where neighbors meet, friendships form, and stories are shared over a hot cup of coffee. They preserve local flavor, tradition, and culture, offering homemade recipes passed down through generations. Recipes not filled with processed ingredients like your McDonalds, Chic fil a's, Burger Kings, Taco Bells, etc. These wonderful mom and pop diners are fewer and fewer. When we lose these small diners, we lose more than a business—we lose a piece of our community’s identity. Supporting mom and pop diners means supporting real people, real food, and real connection. Get out of the corporate fast food chain addiction and support your local mom and pop diners like this one. Let’s make an effort to visit them, promote them, and keep their doors open. Because without them, our towns and cities would feel a lot less like home. Keep it going Eileen and company! Well done! Rob K.

Pretty good and cheap restaruant! Looks sketchy on the outside, but is an incredible place to get food from. Staff (and people) are very friendly, food gets out quick, and overall great service from the begining to the end. The deserts were also great too! I got the cherry pie, and it did not disapoint. Would go again 5/5.

I recently purchased two peppermint bark cakes and they were just unbelievable! Not overly sweet which was fantastic. Best cake I have ever tasted. You have to stop in diane's dairy restaurant and try the peppermint bark cake! Rob K.

I had vegetables, very good but the grilled cornbread was DELICIOUS! Husband had a cheeseburger that was very good! Pecan praline Cake and Hershey bar cake were also FABULOUS! I have to add this is the friendliest restaurant I have ever been too and the service was great. The absolute nicest, friendliest staff that I have ever met at a restaurant. Can’t say enough good things about them. We are about 50 minutes away but I will most definitely be going back!

Dianne's has great food with friendly and fast service. We go on Thursdays for the Country Style Steak and it's delicious. It's kinda hot inside because of the weather and amount of people inside but not too hot where you can't eat. They also have a variety of different kinds of cake slices that is made fresh by the owner and the slices are a decent size.
